Will you go down a straight slide or a twist slide faster?
We will start by discussion our hypothesis for the lab. We will then talk about how to small scale test our ideas.

Pendulum conclusions are due on Feb 27th. You need to explain why the three later trials are different than the first trial you did. As well as how your estimations and actual results varied.
What is your question?
As you finish with your Marry-go-round labs I want you to start working on your own idea.
You may work with one other person but not the person you worked on the newton's project.
You need to come up with your own question. It needs to be something you can small scale test, just like we have done for the last two labs. You may large scale test it as well, but that will need to be on your own time.
It needs to be something dealing with a physic phenomena that you have experienced.
Time Line for Independent Lab
Tuesday and Thursday are brain storming days
Monday you need to have a question ON the grade book with me.
24-28 you will need to be working on your lab.
The lab write up will be due on the 7th of March

Surface Tension
Over the next few days we are going to explore how surface tension works.
Why can a bug walk no water but not a cat?
What is holding a liquid together when it is lifted from the container?
Where do we see surface tension at work?
